This store is not as good as the prince Frederick store. Animal cages are cleaner up there. Overall Petco is a bit pricey. Perhaps when PetSmart opens up it'll drive some competition. We will see.
A hamster we purchased sadly died 10 days later from wet tail. The little guy was under veterinary care. I took my paperwork back to the store to inform them he passed away during the night. They have a 30 day guarantee from the date of purchase. They would not honor the guarantee unless I brought the body back to the store. And they would dispose of him. I told I couldn’t do that, my daughter wanted us to bury him that afternoon. No where on the paperwork does it say we have to relinquish the body back to Petco. I even offered to bring the little guy back to the store so they could see for themselves he had passed away. Glad PetSmart is coming. I’ll never go into Petco again.
Ferrets are always in terrible condition. Nails are always long and there is always bugs in the cage because there's so much poop. Had to stop going there and go to the prince frederick one instead, can't handle seeing those poor babies in that situation.
