Very scenic place with a 7.34 mile nature/bike/hiking trail to encompass the entire lake...
It's just beautiful. If you're looking for a place just to sit down and enjoy Beauty and hold the one that you love , this is a good place to be because it is not very rarely used. Just a good place to find peace.
Nice getaway natural lake that's off the beat and path of city society just up the road in DC...
There is a good cycle trail around the lake starting at the car park at the end of Camp Casoma Road. 7.5 mile track through trees and close to the lake at parts. 3$ parking fee by honor. Done this a couple of times now both on bike and walking.
If you enjoy fishing without loud boats, off road running, mountain biking, or a nice 7.5 mile hike then this is the place for you! There is a $3 fee to park, but it is worth it.
Bring sturdy shoes and hit the trail or fish the clean water that prohibits gas powered engine outboards here.... I shall return when in the area!!!
